  I was not, as most people are, born in a hospital I was born at home on a rainy night on the island of Jersey, Channel Isles, UK.

  My mother, after dressing me, took me to the window and drew back the curtains. The rain had stopped and all she could see was a sky filled with stars twinkling down as if to say ‘hello’.  She held me up to see and said ‘I will name you Stella as you are my own little star’

  I love that story and I think then and there is when my mother instilled in me the power of words. Right then on the day I was born.

   was reading at the age of four and have been putting stories and poems together for as long as I can remember.  My earliest work that I have is from when I was 15.

  I live in North-West Queensland, Australia where my four children have also been raised. As they are growing up and starting to leave home I feel more and more the need to write and show the world what I have inside of me. 

  I have known forever that I want to be an author and now with this book of poems, pictures and photos I am making one of my dreams come true.
